This week marks several milestones for myself and the Studio. This is the first week we are sharing Sunday Stories on the blog in real time. After years of being in intimate conversation with loyal subscribers like you, it feels a bit like flinging open the pages of my journal to be read aloud over the high school PA system. It will take some getting used to. I trust though, that in opening new doors, new opportunities and new community members will follow — and I am here for all of it.
This week also marks the first birthday of my passion project, the Self Portrait Studio! When I sat alone in my bedroom taking those initial self portraits years ago, I had no idea my personal experience would develop into something worth sharing with others. I could not have predicted how it would transform the self perception and self love, of so many women. I have found so much joy in watching the Studio find its groove over the past twelve months, made stronger and more abundant by each woman who has passed through its doors. I am deeply grateful for the trust and opportunities this community continues to give me.
