9 SELF PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS TO FOLLOW ON INSTAGRAM

Not to be confused with selfies, self portrait photography refers to something very different. I go into great detail in this post but I'll also sum it up for you here. Selfies are foremost flattering, spontaneous and taken with the selfie cam on you mobile phone. Self portraits are more artistic in nature, they tell a larger story and concept which work to convey the intention behind the photo. While an image may look simple, it's very hard to photograph yourself when you are unable to see what you're doing, how your pose looks, whether you've captured your best angle, and if you've captured the mood of the photograph.
